Welcome to the DCPS Security Awareness Course

This Security Awareness course supports DCPS Release version 16-1, Effective April 3, 2016.

For optimal viewing of this course, the display settings of your monitor should be set to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher. See instructions below for adjusting display settings.

DCPS makes every effort to comply with Accessibility/Section 508. The course you are about to begin is, in large part, accessible to everyone. Some parts may cause problems depending on the technology being used; we are in the process of correcting that where possible. In the meantime, we have made the course available to the general population.

This course is designed for use with Internet Explorer 7. You should have all scripting functions enabled as well as be able to accept session cookies; otherwise, some parts of the course will not work as designed. If you have problems, contact your local technical support and they can make the changes for you.

This course should take approximately one hour to complete.

You must complete the course from beginning to end in one sitting and you must answer all quiz questions correctly before advancing to the next subject area. If you exit the course prior to completion, you will be required to start the course from the beginning.

Use the following steps to adjust your monitor's display settings.

Step 1: Select the Start button in the lower-left corner of the screen. Then select Settings and Control Panel.

Step 2: In the Control Panel window, select the Display icon.

Step 3: In the Display Properties dialog box, select the Settings tab.

Step 4: In the Screen Area section, select the slider and drag it until 1024 by 768 pixels (or higher) appears.

Step 5: Select the OK button to accept your change. You may be required to reboot your computer for the changes to take affect.
